Wednesday Follow-Up

Worked out with Vernon again today. Every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

He turned the heat up on me just a bit, but it was good. I'm exhausted tonight, but it's a good kind of tired. It's been a while since I had that feeling.

This whole process continues to be a psychological study-in-waiting. Moods up and down. Motivation up and down. If there's an emotion out there, I've had it.

And yet you step on the scales today, as I did, and see that great number...Well, it makes it all worth while.

We can only hope I feel the same way after tomorrow.

Because while Vernon may not be out to kill me (he reads this...Hello Vernon), he apparently won't be shy about inflicting pain on my bloated body.

But it's a good pain. Right Vernon?

Good tired, yes! I often exercise in the AM prior to work. This morning I went for a run. When I read your blog, I became aware of my legs having that "I ran this morning" feeling. It is a feeling that confirms, Yes, I did something healthy today!!

Keep it up.....it will become a habit and you will crave exercise!!

Here's to a new Dan Scott....an energetic, happier and healthier man!!

WHATEVER IT TAKES...

Mastering
THE ART OF RELENTLESS PURSUIT

By: John DeFendis
(April 21, 2008)

Relentless Pursuit is an Art.
It is mastered and developed
by people who refuse to lose or be weakened
by falling, failing or not being their best at something.

Relentless Pursuit is
Utilizing Knowledge, Intensity and Patience to become the Best in their field.

Relentless Pursuit is never giving in to failure...
But learning from it and working harder to create victory or success.

Relentless Pursuit is choosing a goal and achieving it
despite hardships, problems or obstacles.

Relentless Pursuit looks like a
Shark who has tasted blood
and is now tracking it's target.
The shark will let nothing get in the way.

RELENTLESS PURSUIT is
the vision of an infrared scope
secured, locked and loaded on the bulls eye of a target.

Relentless Pursuit offers
No Excuses.
It thrives and grows and becomes more Intense
with every success.

As a teenager I lost my first nine contests.
Each loss became more painful and bitter in taste.
I heard about the sweetness of victory
and I wanted to taste it, savor it.
I found a mentor, listened, learned, and was relentless in my work ethic and vision.
I refused to fail.
I won my next contest and my vision strengthened
enough to gain momentum to then
relentlessly pursue and
win every contest I entered for the next 12 years.

As a pioneer personal trainer in the early years,
I struggled and failed many times.
I let myself down but was even more saddened by the people that I let down.
I wanted to be the best trainer I could be.
I once again learned from great leaders and great trainers.
I Relentlessly Pursued my goal...
And won Trainer of the Year for 9 consecutive years,
while being a Trainer in the Congressional Gym in Washington DC.
I was also fortunate enough to develop the Ultra Fit program and system.

As I grew up I struggled with business.
Managing my own life was difficult.
How could I manage others or be successful in business?
I was fortunate enough to train some great business leaders.
I learned from Calvin Klein and the
CEO of American Express, Jim Robinson.
By utilizing that knowledge and combining it with
the RELENTLESS PURSUIT and INTENSITY
that I gave my other endeavors...
I was able to achieve business success.

How does this relate to you?
Simply put...
If you utilize the same formula...
YOU WILL SUCCEED!

Start by choosing your goal...
Recognize and Embrace the knowledge of someone who has succeeded in your field or goal.
DON'T try to re-invent the wheel...
Just work hard to make it spin faster and go with it!

RELENTLESS PURSUIT...
An amazing way to insure your success.
Make RELENTLESS PURSUIT YOUR ART...
AND
CREATE YOUR GREATEST MASTERPIECE!
