dan you said yourself in another post that you've been sneaking the cookies past the guard. STOP IT! i get the feeling that you're probably eating more of that junk than you're letting on. and there isn't much mention of exercise. just a suspicion that on your trip you got your share of soft drinks. i might be way off base here, but the temptation in that kind of setting is to say that things are hot and i'm walking a lot so it's ok to eat and drink a few things that i shouldn't be. IT'S NOT! /// enough of the lecture, but we want you to succeed, not fall off the wagon. get your butt in gear and get the excercise going. how is the swimming you talked about before your vacation?

Sure the past few weeks have been rough on you. You made it though that Florida trip. This was another tough one, vacation with the kids. How much pizza and ice cream did they want. Totals if my math is right, lost 55 pounds, 15 week's of losses versus 6 weeks of gains. Now buckle down and make 100 pounds by Dec 31. You can do it!

Don't make me call you ;-).

negative talk will do nothing but cause problems. discard whoever is dragging you down with negative talk! you can't afford it. get serious about this! you can't be serious about this if you're still eating things that could cause you to gain weight. GET SERIOUS! WE WANT YOU TO SUCCEED!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Make yourself a food diary or list and write down what you are actually eating (be honest too), when and why. Food still counts if you are standing up and if there's no-one else about! Believe me I've tried all these excuses. You might find that there's certains of times of day or certain days and then you just need to do something to take your mind off the fact that you think you want food. Go for a walk, write an e-mail to someone, check out some stuff on line (not food sites), read a car or sport magazine, watch the olympics-well they start soon - just don't go anywhere near food. We are planning a trip next year and will be meeting up with your English Correspondent so looking forward to meeting the new, even slimmer Dan. We'll go power walking!! Gill
